Grilled Pork, Watercress and Orange Chinese Salad Recipe

A mouth-watering Chinese salad recipe
Yield: 4    Preparation Time: 15 mins    Cooking Time: 12 mins
This is an incredibly easy dish to make and is ready in less than half an hour.

Ingredients

4 cups watercress, trimmed
500g pork fillet
2 oranges, skin and white pith removed, cut into 1cm slices
1 red onion, halved and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons drained pickled ginger, shredded
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1 tablespoon peanut oil

For the dressing;
¼ cup fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper

Recipe Instructions

Cook the pork.
Season the pork with the five-spice powder and cook the pork in the oil over medium heat for 5 – 6 minutes on each side until the juices run clear. Remove them from the pan and let them stand for 5 minutes. Cut diagonally into 1cm thick pieces.

Make the dressing.
Combine all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together until well combined.

Make the salad.
Put the pork, watercress, oranges, onion and ginger into a bowl and pour over the dressing. Toss well to combine and sprinkle over the sesame seeds.
